Accessibility Statement
HeartBonds Counseling is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our Commitment
We believe that everyone deserves access to information about mental health care, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse the web. We are actively working to ensure that keenancrowley.com meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility.
Our ongoing efforts include:
- Providing meaningful alternative text for images that convey information
- Using a logical, consistent heading structure on every page
- Ensuring all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Labeling all form fields clearly so screen readers can identify them
- Designing mobile-friendly layouts that work at a range of text sizes
- Using semantic HTML so assistive technologies can interpret page structure
- Providing visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
- Including a skip-navigation link at the top of every page
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:
- Third-party scheduling tool: The appointment booking system is provided by an external platform. We do not control its accessibility and encourage you to contact us directly if you need assistance scheduling.
- Insurance verification widget: The Thrizer insurance benefits verification tool is an embedded third-party service. If you experience difficulty using it, please contact our billing team directly.
- Color contrast on certain accent elements: Some decorative accent text on light backgrounds may fall slightly below the 4.5:1 ratio target. We are reviewing these elements.
We are actively working to address these limitations and will update this statement as improvements are made.
