My journey to becoming a mental health worker was not a straight path. It was shaped by my own struggles, personal growth, and faith. During difficult seasons, I learned how important it is to have someone walk alongside you with honesty and compassion. Those experiences showed me not only what I needed, but also what I felt called to offer others. That calling led me to counseling, where I could combine my love for people, my belief in resilience, and my faith in God’s power to bring healing and hope. Through school, mentorship, and working with clients, I have grown in my belief that change is possible. Life does not always get easier, but with support, perspective, and inner strength, people can face it differently. Years of learning, growing, and saying yes to this calling have shaped the counselor I am today. My story continues to influence how I show up with clients: genuine, grounded, and committed to walking with them through their journey.

How I work
My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. With kids and teens, that might look like using play, creativity, or even sand tray therapy to help them express what words can’t. With adults, it often means blending practical tools with deeper reflection so that insight turns into lasting change. And for those who want it, I integrate faith into the process, because I’ve seen how powerful it can be when hope is anchored in something greater than ourselves.
At the core, my approach is simple: be honest, be compassionate, and be present. I want every client to feel both supported and challenged—to leave sessions not only feeling heard, but equipped with tools to handle the week ahead.
